Blossom Academy provides safe, affordable, high-quality child care in the heart of Lancaster — with play-based learning aligned to the SC Early Learning Standards, warm teachers, and a brand-new Spanish dual language immersion program.
FREE 4K — and siblings attend FREE too!
Blossom Academy is a South Carolina First Steps 4K provider, so eligible four-year-olds attend our full-day kindergarten-readiness classroom at no cost. And through the new +Siblings benefit with SC Voucher (a program of SCDSS), qualifying families can enroll brothers and sisters at Blossom for free as well — free care and education for the whole family.
What qualifying families get

Am I eligible? Your child may qualify for FREE 4K if…
- They turn 4 on or before September 1 of the school year
- Your family lives in South Carolina
- Your family receives or is eligible for Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, qualifies for free/reduced-price lunch, or qualifies by household income
- Children in foster care or experiencing homelessness also qualify
When you apply at FREE4KSC.ORG, have these ready: your child's certified birth certificate, one proof of SC residence, income verification (Medicaid card or eligibility letter, SNAP card, or income documents), and their SC immunization certificate. ¡Muy pronto! Spanish Dual Language Immersion
We're launching Lancaster's newest dual language immersion classroom, where children learn naturally in Spanish and English through songs, stories, and play — building bilingual brains during the years language grows fastest. Spots will be limited.

From first steps to school age, each classroom builds on the last — with weekly themes, letters, numbers, and activities mapped to all eight SC Early Learning domains.
Seedlings
Gentle routines, tummy time, first words, and lots of snuggles in a calm, safe infant room.
Sprouts
Busy hands and growing vocabularies — sensory play, music, movement, and early independence.
Buds
Circle time, letters and numbers, friendships, and pre-writing skills through purposeful play.
Blossoms
Kindergarten readiness — including our state-funded First Steps 4K classroom at no cost to eligible families.
Wildflowers
Afterschool program with homework help, enrichment, and outdoor play until 6pm — plus full-day summer camp.

Our curriculum follows the SC Early Learning Standards and ABC Quality guidelines, and every newsletter shows families exactly which developmental domains their child worked on that week.
Whole-child support
Annual ASQ-3 developmental screenings plus vision and hearing checks help us celebrate strengths and catch needs early — with results shared privately with families.
Nourished and cared for
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks follow the USDA food program, and our licensed facility is staffed by background-checked, CPR-certified teachers who treat your child like family.
